![]() ![]() Over in 5A doubles, Seaman’s Grace Unruh and Lauren Sweeney took home the first state doubles title in school history. Kapaun Mount Carmel’s Reagan Boleski won the 5A singles title after finishing runner up the past two years earning the win 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 over Bishop Carroll’s Brynn Steven. Over in Emporia, Andover claimed the team title in 5A with 46 points. Her brother, Dan, won the boys 6A state singles title in the spring, marking the first time siblings held concurrent singles titles since 2016. Harkin was the state runner-up last season. In 6A singles, Manhattan’s Jill Harkin won the state title. Juniors Bryson Langford and Greta Stechshulte led the way with their third consecutive doubles title, and they won the title against their teammates, Abigail Long and Katie Schmidt, 6-4, 6-4. ![]() Shawnee Mission East claimed its third straight team title in 6A with 49 total points. This year’s state championship was filled with plenty of storylines. 5A was held in Emporia while 4A was held in Winfield. The girls state tennis championships were held October 15-16. ![]()
